Secure Our Elections
- PHOTO ID: "Photo ID should be required to vote. It isn't a school board matter, but that's my position."[1]
Education Issues
- COMMUNITY INPUT: "A trustee's job is mostly asking questions. What does it cost? Is it working? What did we give up to get it? Objections travel. Questions govern. The best questions start with listening to parents, teachers, staff and neighbors. You can't serve people you haven't heard."[1]
- SCHOOL SAFETY: "'Tested' shouldn't mean a vendor said so. It should mean someone tried every door and keyed a radio from the far end of every building, on a schedule, with the results in front of the board."[1]
- PARENTAL INVOLVEMENT: "Parents shouldn't have to dig through agendas to learn what's happening at their school or why the board voted the way it did. Teachers and staff should hear about decisions that affect them before they read about them somewhere else."[1]
- SUPPORTING TEACHERS: "Willis ISD is projected to add about 5,500 students by 2033‑34, a 58% increase. The district should publish one plan for what we'll need to build, hire, and wire to keep up, and update it in public every year. The board's job is making sure those dollars reach students and the people who make a school run: teachers, bus drivers, custodians, cafeteria and front-office staff."[1]
- SCHOOL BUDGET: "The district should publish a plan that shows where enrollment is headed, what we'll need to build, hire, and wire to keep up, and what it will cost, then update it every year in public. Then the board's job is to make sure the dollars show up in student outcomes and in the daily lives of the people who make a school run: teachers, bus drivers, custodians, cafeteria and front-office staff, all of them."[1]

- LIBRARY BOOKS & OBSCENITY LAWS: "What's in Penal Code 43.24 is an affirmative defense, not an exemption, and only the Legislature can change it. On substance: literary merit shouldn't function as a loophole. If material meets the harmful-to-minors standard, an expert calling it literature isn't a reason to put it in front of a twelve-year-old. SB 13 gives the board a real process and I'd make sure Willis ISD runs it properly. Specific material, clear standard, same every time, open to parents."[1]
