Notable Quotes

“We've made real changes to get inappropriate materials out of our libraries and to make sure parents have a real voice in what their kids have access to.”
Positions on Texas Eagle Forum Priorities
Border Security & Immigration
- OPEN BORDERS IMPACTING SCHOOL DISTRICTS: "There's been a demographic change across the state of Texas. This is impacting everyone - every district across the state. And we're all going to be left holding the bag because a government entity left our borders wide open."[1]
Education Issues
- CHALLENGES FACING THE DISTRICT: "Our budget must adapt to a growth pattern different from what was forecast, especially as transportation and special education needs outpace funding. At the same time, we must keep every campus on track toward real academic success, not just some. I will keep advocating in Austin for adequate funding in these areas."[1]
- SUPPORTING TEACHERS: "Competitive pay is part of it, but so is real teacher support, a genuine voice, manageable workloads, and staff who back them up so they can focus on teaching. Teachers do their best work when they know the district and parents both respect and support them."[1]
- PREVENTING BUDGET SHORTFALLS: "Build budgets on current, honest enrollment data rather than outdated growth projections, keep long range financial planning in place, evaluate every dollar for its impact on academic success, and push back on unfunded mandates that fund a rollout but not its ongoing maintenance and support."[1][2][3]
- ADOPTED A DISTRICTWIDE CELL PHONE POLICY in June 2025 that bans student use of personal communication devices (cell phones, smartwatches, tablets, headphones/earbuds, etc.) during the school day for grades K–12. She stated, "Our cell phone policy was leading in the state before state mandates."[1][2][3][4]
- COMMITMENT TO RESTORING TRADITIONAL VALUES to our schools. Stated, "As a trustee and Board President of Conroe ISD, this is personal for me. I believe we have a real responsibility to make sure our students know what this country is, where it came from, and WHY it has been worth every sacrifice made to keep it."[1][2]
- COMMON CORE, IB, CRITICAL RACE THEORY, SEL: “I do not support Common Core or International Baccalaureate programs.Critical Race Theory in our classrooms became illegal in Texas under HB 3979…Education should be grounded in academic excellence and treating every child as an individual, not sorted by group identity.” Social and Emotional Learning belongs with parents, not schools.[1][2]
- FOUGHT TO MAKE SURE TEXAS DYSLEXIC STUDENTS are covered under the federal federal Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) during the 88th Legislative Session by advocating for Texas House Bill 3928.[1][2][3]
Protect Childhood Innocence
- REMOVAL OF OBSCENE LIBRARY BOOKS: Advocated for the removal of books deemed inappropriate or violating obscenity clauses.[1][2][3][4][5]
- STATED, "I HAVE PUT PARENTS BACK IN THE DRIVER'S SEAT, removed woke ideology from our classrooms and libraries, and worked through a budget deficit while keeping academic success our top priority."[1][2][3][4][5]
Gender Issues
- WOMEN'S PRIVATE SPACES: Asked the Board to write a policy covering bathrooms and locker rooms by biological sex, housing on trips, pronouns, parent notification if a student requests a different pronoun, and instructional material on gender fluidity.[1][2][3][4][5]
- APPROVED A BOARD RESOLUTION THAT REJECTS GENDER IDEOLOGY and aligns with a Trump executive order on not supporting gender transition of minors.[1]
- COMMITTMENT TO KEEP SCHOOLS FOCUSED ON EDUCATION, not liberal indoctrination. "Our children's futures are too important to let political agendas hijack the classroom."[1]
Other Constitutional Issues
- ON SEPARATION OF CHURCH & STATE: "You've heard people say "separation of church and state" like it means faith has no place in public life. That's not what it means. It never was. That phrase was meant to keep the GOVERNMENT out of the CHURCH, not to scrub God out of the public square."[1]
Bonus Issue - Property Tax Relief
- TAX RATE: On a proposed budget that kept the tax rate at 94.96 cents per $100 valuation, she said Trustees understand “the fiduciary responsibility that comes with every tax dollar we take in and spend” and that every dollar “came out of a family's household budget.”[1]
